The environmental benefits of green roofs have been widely recognized. In recent years, increasing attention has paid to moisture management in the roof systems. an influence on its thermal and hydrological performances. An accurate measurement water content substrate is important for irrigation monitoring, optimal management, plant growth. Knowing performance characteristics sensor chosen layer a system essential. This paper presents laboratory calibration capacitive two types layer. volumetric several mineral wool soil samples, with from low until saturated, were measured using gravimetric method related frequency obtained by sensor. results shown that good response variation.
